Light fittings and objects
A high hall feels empty, or the light has to come from anywhere except a visible fitting. The sheet SPANdesign stretches passes light, so the light can sit behind it.
Shape
The polymer foil we use for light fittings and objects is flexible and elastic. That lets it be stretched into shapes a rigid material cannot make.
The number of shapes is unlimited. An illuminated hood above a reception desk, cylinders hanging free in a hall, or a whole ceiling that lights up.
Light
Transparent and light-transmitting ceilings give diffuse light, without the point sources you would otherwise be looking at. The light ceilings reach around 76% light transmission.
They suit LED modules, fluorescent fittings and projection. The foil also comes in colour and with printing, so the light can change colour without the fitting ever being visible.

Can lighting be integrated?
Yes. Light fittings can be integrated into a SPANdesign stretch ceiling. Transparent and light-transmitting ceilings give diffuse light. The light ceilings reach around 76% light transmission and suit fluorescent fittings, LED modules and projection.
What are the design options?
Our stretch solutions have countless applications across all kinds of styles. The number of shapes is unlimited: horizontal, vertical, curved, angled and 3D. There is a wide choice of colour and pattern, and the systems come in many versions.
What does modular mean?
Our stretch solutions can be taken down and put back up without limit. They combine with lighting, climate control and sprinkler systems. All our stretch products are flexible and shatterproof, are fitted at minimal depth, and are made to measure for each individual room.
Are your stretch products safe?
Yes. All our stretch products are non-toxic and free of heavy metals. They are not flammable and meet fire class B-s2-d0. Our products are also hypoallergenic.
Is it easy to maintain?
Yes. Fitting and removing is simple, so you can always reach your ceiling. The stretch ceilings are easy to clean and antistatic, so they stay dust free.
What does a stretch ceiling cost, roughly?
Most projects we take on are between 20,000 and 50,000 euro, and large halls and swimming pools run to 100,000 to 250,000 euro. What your room costs depends on its area, its shape and what has to sit in the ceiling. We do not take on a project under 20,000 euro.
