Stretched walls
The wall is old and past saving, or it is square nowhere. A stretched wall is the same technique as a stretch ceiling, turned vertical.
How it works
As with a stretch ceiling, SPANdesign pulls a made-to-measure foil into an aluminium or plastic profile with a harpoon system. Here too the services behind the wall stay reachable.
What sits underneath does not need to be flat. The wall takes the shape you want and the old surface disappears behind it.
What is possible
The foil comes in gloss, matt and suede, and in translucent or light-transmitting versions. With or without printing, with or without lighting behind it.
Many shapes are possible. Whole exhibition stands can be built this way. A house style or a full-size logo is simply part of that.

What are the design options?
Our stretch solutions have countless applications across all kinds of styles. The number of shapes is unlimited: horizontal, vertical, curved, angled and 3D. There is a wide choice of colour and pattern, and the systems come in many versions.
What does modular mean?
Our stretch solutions can be taken down and put back up without limit. They combine with lighting, climate control and sprinkler systems. All our stretch products are flexible and shatterproof, are fitted at minimal depth, and are made to measure for each individual room.
How stable is it?
SPANdesign stretched products suit spanning larger surfaces. No extra load is placed on the existing structure, and the elastic, lightweight material returns to its original state after deformation.
How large can a single sheet be?
Up to roughly 50 m² we make a ceiling from one sheet. Larger surfaces are divided into panels. All foils are available with different perforations, and all our products have been tested by TNO to fire class 1.
Is it easy to maintain?
Yes. Fitting and removing is simple, so you can always reach your ceiling. The stretch ceilings are easy to clean and antistatic, so they stay dust free.
What does a stretch ceiling cost, roughly?
Most projects we take on are between 20,000 and 50,000 euro, and large halls and swimming pools run to 100,000 to 250,000 euro. What your room costs depends on its area, its shape and what has to sit in the ceiling. We do not take on a project under 20,000 euro.
